Ed Viesturs is widely regarded as this country’s foremost high-altitude mountaineer. He is familiar to many from the 1996 IMAX Everest Expedition documentary and in 2002, he was awarded the historic Lowell Thomas Award by the Explorer’s Club for outstanding achievement in the field of mountaineering. This book chronicles 6 historic expeditions on the world’s second highest peak, and discusses the risks of success and the costs thereof. Risk management is a key theme throughout.

Runner & Best-selling Author and Speaker on Peak Performance and Sales
An elite ultra-runner and internationally awarded business strategist, Dan Waldschmidt is considered to be one of the top sales thinkers in the world. His book EDGY Conversations has sold over 250,000 copies around the world and hit the Amazon best-seller list on 3 different continents.
Dan has spent his life attempting (and often achieving) the outrageous. He got the usual entry-level sales job right out of college, but then he changed the sales process, boosted revenue $50M, and became CEO by the time he was 25. After expanding offices and driving even more growth over the next few years he would go on to sell that technology company to a much larger competitor, delivering tremendous value to the shareholders.
Known as an industry disruptor, Dan refuses to accept business as usual – making him an unconventional, yet highly effective, strategist to some of the world’s largest companies.
After founding (and then selling) his technology company, several Fortune 100 companies began to recruit Dan for senior executive level positions. But instead of joining a big company, Dan decided to build a consulting company to provide strategy to the most powerful companies in the world. Through his advice & coaching he’s helped multinational organizations conquer the world.
Dan shares his insights daily on his popular blog which Dow Jones called "one of the top sales blogs anywhere in the world." He has also a popular contributor to Business Insider and has been published in Forbes, INC Magazine, Bloomberg, Yahoo, Vanity Fair, Wall Street Italia and dozens of other popular magazines around the world.
Having devoted years to studying over 1,000 of the world’s most unlikely high performers, he understands exactly what it takes to disrupt an industry, create a new conversation, and drive massive success.

Most people in our society are constantly tired, gaining weight (despite the health industry's increasingly strident recommendation for low-fat diets) and are stressed beyond belief! Our everyday, modern environment of synthetic and convenience food, technology that reduces physical effort and exercise - from the car you drive to work to the remote control for the television - not to mention the stresses and strains of the corporate and business world are all to blame. But what can we do about it?
Strangely, most people seem to accept this state of affairs, and feel powerless to change their life and health for the better. But there is a solution that will ensure a longer, healthier life.
Dr Walker's life changing message is universal. Prevention is the key. From intimate corporate presentations to his speech to 35,000 people in an outdoor stadium in India, Dr Walker is empowering his audiences along the path to wellness.

During the first dotcom boom, Mike launched the technology publishing group internet.com in Australia, which went on to become the leading local technology news and events platform in the country.

After his experiences in the Web space, Mike spent five years in senior strategy roles at News Corporation where he helped shape the digital strategy for both their Australian newspaper and Asian TV divisions. Directly engaged by the CEO of Star TV to provide the company with a digital roadmap for their operations, he began his in-depth research into the fast growth markets of Asia.
While in Hong Kong and inspired by the dramatic changes taking place in China and India, Mike founded his latest venture, Tomorrow – an innovation research lab focused on emerging technology and disruptive consumer behavior. Always in demand for his fresh insights and practical future-focused strategies, Mike has advised the CEOs and senior management teams at multinational companies including: the BBC, Fuji?lm, Richemont, MSN, Star TV, Televisa, Philips, and HSBC.

Mike's latest book The Algorithmic Leader - How to be smart when machines are smarter than you, is set to be released in March 2019.
Bill Walton has a passion - for his work, for family & friends, for music, for life and for greatness! Bill brings his outsized passion to the stage and inspires audiences with tales from an improbable life in sport and beyond. Walton speaks about the secrets of world-class performance, personal and organizational excellence, and how he overcame nearly impossible odds – on the court and off – to persevere and win. As entertaining and motivating as he is insightful, Walton is widely considered one of the best speakers from the world of sports.
The lessons Bill learned on the basketball court became life lessons that served him well throughout his sports, broadcasting and business careers. Walton never forgot those words which helped him throughout his extraordinary career.
Following a celebrated college basketball career, Walton went on to have a Hall of Fame NBA career. After basketball, Walton pursued his dream job as a sports broadcaster – but first had to overcome the lifelong stuttering affliction. And then, in 2008, Walton endured risky back surgery to repair damage done early in his basketball career. Through it all, Walton’s determination carried him through.
Bill Walton is an authentic and true original who personifies greatness, and is one of the most compassionate figures in sport with an extraordinary record of giving back through his work with numerous charities and non-profits.
Walton is active with many organizations and charities. For his efforts, in 2002 he received the NBA Retired Players Association Humanitarian Award. His activities include his current role as the executive chairman of Connect SD Sport Innovators (SDSI), a non-profit, business-accelerating, trade organization that connects and drives the growth of Southern California's vibrant sports economy by offering innovative programs and services for startups, mature companies and service providers. SDSI offers mentoring, education and capital funding opportunities for start-ups; best practice collaboration, access to new technology, and public policy advocacy for mature companies; as well as deal flow to our service providers and the Southern California Investment Community. Walton is also a board member for the Junior Seau foundation.
Walton is also involved in numerous Internet ventures, providing content and business acumen. He is also the author of Back from the Dead (March, 2016) and Nothing But Net (Feb, 1994).

Marc Wayshak is the best-selling author of three books on sales and leadership, Game Plan Selling, Breaking All Barriers, and, his latest, The High-Velocity Sales Organization. Out of frustration from a lack of any real data-driven or science-based sales approaches in the marketplace, Marc developed the Game Plan Selling System, which utilizes the best available data and science to help organizations close more sales.
He is a regular online contributor for Inc, Fast Company, Forbes, Entrepreneur Magazine, Huffington Post Business and salesforce.com Blog, and he holds an MBA from the University of Oxford and a BA from Harvard University.
While studying for his undergraduate degree in social sciences at Harvard, Marc suddenly lost all his college savings in a stock market crash. Compelled to have to help pay for college, Marc started a small marketing company. Little did he know, he was about to embark on a journey filled with challenges. He would soon learn just how hard it was to have to sell in order to survive.
During that time, Marc made tens of thousands of cold calls per year, spoke to sell, asked for introductions and did everything else necessary to make sales. The social scientist in him was shocked by how little data and science was incorporated in the commonly use selling approaches.
Thus began a journey of searching for the real data and science behind selling. As he went along, he began to learn what worked and what didn’t. He also found some powerful mentors who taught him to use the data to look at sales from a completely different angle. Studying under these mentors, Marc experimented with the very sales techniques that now make up the Game Plan Selling SystemTM.
By using these data-driven and science-based techniques, Marc created exponential growth for his marketing business, turning it into one of the fastest-growing event marketing companies in New England. The expanding client list soon included corporations such as Subway Sandwich Shops, ExxonMobil and Getty Oil. As his company grew, Marc served as captain of Harvard’s rugby team and was selected as an All-American rugby player.
These experiences as a top athlete further shaped his sales philosophy, as he discovered many similarities between closing the sale and winning on the field. After selling his business at just 23 years old, Marc began teaching data-driven sales strategies to organizations both large and small.
Today, Marc Wayshak is known as America’s Sales Strategist. He shares the powerful data-driven and science-based strategies of the Game Plan Selling SystemTM through writing, consulting, and training. Marc travels the world helping organizations and entrepreneurs transform their sales.

Expert on emotional intelligence, world-renowned psychologist and best-selling author.
Few people have developed an expertise in areas that impact everybody, everyday-at home and at work, but that is exactly the case for creator, innovator, practitioner, world renowned psychologist and New York Times Bestselling author, Dr. Hendrie Weisinger. Giving and taking criticism, managing emotions and responding effectively to the feelings and emotions of others, motivating oneself and leading others, resolving conflict through communication and handling change, are all emotional intelligence skills, that are part of keynote speaker Dr. Weisinger's expertise that has been recognized and sought by leading business schools, influential government agencies, Fortune 500 Companies, and dozens of professional organizations, such as The Young Presidents Organization.
Author of Emotional Intelligence at Work, The Emotionally Intelligent Financial Advisor, The Emotionally Intelligent Real Estate Agent, Dr. Weisinger's Anger Workout Book, Anger at Work, The Power of Positive Criticism, and the New York Times Bestseller, Nobody's Perfect, Dr. Weisinger has spent three decades helping individuals and their organizations enhance their personal and work effectiveness through innovative applications of clinical, social, organizational, and most recently evolutionary psychology, with the publication of his book, The Genius of Instinct.
His early clinical training and practice provided him the opportunities to decipher the emotional complexities of giving and taking criticism back in the day when
feedback was the choice word. His work in this area culminated in his New York Times Bestseller, Nobody's Perfect. The success of this book put Dr. Weisinger in front of executives, managers, supervisors, and line personnel from Corporate America. IBM, AT&T, Merck, Nintendo, Sheraton, Hughes Aircraft, General Electric, Medtronic, KMPG, McDonalds, The Hartford, Prudential, Hyatt, Estee Lauder, and Nabisco are just a small sample which has requested Dr. Weisinger to present his message to their employees. Since Nobody's Perfect, Dr. Weisinger has continually advanced his theory and techniques for giving and taking criticism, his most recent thoughts captured in The Power of Positive Criticism, translated into over a dozen languages.
Always looking for innovative perspectives on human behavior, and always seeming to be ahead of the pack, Dr. Weisinger turned his interest to the evolutionary sciences, particularly evolutionary psychology. His studies in the field that is now called, "the new science of the mind," took him down a path that, when mixed with clinical expertise, provided startling new thoughts and strategies for handling everyday dilemmas that we all encounter at home and at work. His findings and observations are the subject of his most current work, The Genius of Instinct: Reclaim Mother Nature's Tools for Enhancing our Health, Happiness, Family and Work. The book presents many revelations including the fact that we are hardwired for success, man is more successful than animals because we have more instincts not less, and ruled by reason rather than instinct typically spells disaster. This evolutionary perspective has also helped Dr. Weisinger generate novel insights into leadership, marriage, parenting, and work.
