Branding and innovation expert, author of Radical Careering, one of advertising’s most celebrated thinkers.
Sally Hogshead is a Hall of Fame speaker, international author, and the world's leading expert on fascination. Growing up with the last name Hogshead would give anyone an unconventional point of view. After graduating from Duke University and starting in advertising, Sally was named
the most successful junior copywriter of all time. At age 27 she opened her first agency, and went on to conquer the worlds of branding and marketing.
Over the past decade, Sally's research has uncovered surprising trends. In today's distracted world, people have a 9-second attention span. With only 9
seconds to communicate value, we must use our advantages to immediately break through. Sally teaches how to break through the distraction and competition by creating moments of intense focus.
When you fascinate a customer or employee, you create exciting moments of connection. Your listener is far more likely to remember and value you.
In her research, Sally has measured over 100,000 people to identify a scientific approach to personal branding.
A few findings in Sally's research:
- Your personality uses identifiable patterns of persuasion
- When you fascinate customers, they're more likely to trust and respect you
- Fascinating brands can charge up to 4x more than commodity brands
- Companies that fascinate employees have higher productivity
- Women will spend more to be fascinating than they spend on food and clothes combined ($338/month)
Rather than measuring how you see the world, Sally measures how the world sees you.
Sally's first book was Radical Careering: 100 Truths to Jumpstart Your Job, Your Career, and Your Life. She toured the country as a spokesperson for CareerBuilder.com, teaching how to apply strengths at work.
Her next book, FASCINATE, was published around the globe, earning Sally a frequent spotlight in major media including Today Show and the New York Times. The press describes Sally as a
marketing icon who has
changed the face of North American advertising.
In 2013, HarperCollins will publish Sally's new book, How The World Sees You: From First Impressions to Lasting Value.

Certified Sales Professional (CSP), Author and Sales Leadership Speaker.
Mark Hunter, “The Sales Hunter,” believes that sales is without a doubt the greatest profession. There is nothing I enjoy more than helping others be successful. It’s why I enjoy delivering a keynote speech to help companies develop a prospecting strategy.
The reason I enjoy sales so much is I never set out to have a career in sales. If it had not been for the Seattle Police Department and their habit of giving me tickets, there is little chance I would have wound up in sales. Yes, you’re eager to know more details, but we’ll save that for another day or a keynote speech.
The first 15+ years of my sales career, I was fortunate enough to work for three Fortune 200 companies in both sales leadership and marketing positions. My career was wired for growth, and during those 15 years, I rose through the organizations to command senior positions, leading hundreds of salespeople.
It was the experience of my corporate positions, combined with the shortcomings I saw in salespeople, that led me to become a sales speaker - and having done so I’ve been able to work with thousands of salespeople and sales leaders.
All of this experience - and yes, I am still learning today - has put me in a position to develop a methodology that salespeople and companies around the world use. The greatest satisfaction I receive is hearing months later from a person with whom I worked who shares that I made a huge positive impact on their selling skills.
After years of working with companies and salespeople, I felt it was time to write my first book, High-Profit Selling: Win the Sale Without Compromising on Price, which released in 2012. My second book, High-Profit Prospecting, digs even deeper into the vital role that prospecting plays in sales success. A key piece of both books is my firm commitment to show others that by targeting better prospects, it is possible to close more deals at a higher price.
With two great books and proven sales methodologies, I travel much of the time, typically in excess of 200 days per year, not only in the United States, but globally as well. A few of the clients I work with include Salesforce, Lenovo, Mattel, Kawasaki and more.
All of this travel and the level of keynote speaking I do has allowed me to share the stage and get to know such greats as Seth Godin, Tony Robbins, Arianna Huffington, Simon Sinek and others. Even bigger is the partnership I have with three others who are seen as fellow sales experts - Jeb Blount, Mike Weinberg and Anthony Iannarino. I count it a privilege to work with each of these people and share with them strategies that create success.

Fighter Pilots who Teach Leadership, Teamwork, Culture and Motivation Skills
Afterburner, Inc. trains global organizations to accelerate their performance and ensure a higher success rate for their strategic objectives. Afterburner’s full client list includes more than 150 U.S. Fortune 500 companies from which over 1.7 million business leaders have experienced an Afterburner program - and rated their experience an average of 9.2 out of 10. Afterburner specializes in strategic and agile planning and continuous improvement through building a culture of learning, accountability and proven execution - in accordance with a simple, scalable improvement process model, Flawless Execution. Afterburner’s Flawless ExecutionTM framework provides the necessary structures, collaboration, and teamwork to close the Execution Gap – the gap between what an organization plans to do and what it actually achieves. Founded in 1996 by former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot James “Murph” Murphy, Afterburner has ranked among Inc. Magazine’s “Inc. 500 List of America’s Fastest Growing Companies” three times - and has been featured in leading publications like the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Business Week, Atlanta Business Chronicle, Financial Times, Newsweek, and Meetings and Conventions Magazine. Afterburner has also appeared on CNN, CNBC, Fox News, and Bloomberg News, among others.
The Flawless Execution model:
- Plan - The plan starts with an objective that is clear, measurable and achievable and supports your company's overall strategy
- Brief - You communicate the plan. It is essential that people on the front lines know exactly what is expected of them. Businesses ignore this, often at their peril
- Execute - Even with a solid plan and a good brief, a mission can still fail due to task saturation or task overload. Task saturation is the reality or perception of having too much to do without the time or resources to accomplish it. Even with the resources people still have to manage conflicting priorities. We know that as task saturation increases, performance decreases; therefore, at Afterburner we help teams combat task saturation by identifying resources and managing priorities
- Debrief - The last step is the debriefing. After each mission, fighter pilots hold a nameless, rankless debrief. Each person, without fear of reprimand, rehashes what worked, what did not work and why both the good events and the bad events happened. We then take the key lessons learned from the debrief and apply them to the next plan. Debriefing speeds up learning. It lets us fine tune the processes that ensure success
- Win! - Our goal is to win by aligning your team around a disciplined, scalable process in order to achieve business results

Before switching to his current multi-platform analyst role with ESPN, Ron spent five seasons in the booth with Mike Tirico and Jon Gruden as the color commentator for Monday Night Football.
The Los Angeles Rams drafted Jaworski in the second round of the 1973 NFL Draft. After four years with the Rams, Jaworski joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 1977. Under head coach Dick Vermeil and behind Jaworski’s ability and field leadership, the Eagles advanced to their first-ever berth in a Super Bowl vs. the Oakland Raiders. Jaworski finished the 1980 season as the No. 1-rated passer in the NFC and was the 1980 NFL MVP.
Along the way, Ron became known as "Jaws." The name was hung on him by his next-door neighbor at the time, Doug Collins, who was a star guard for the Philadelphia 76ers and today is their coach. “He didn’t come up with Jaws because of that shark movie, though.” Jaws says, “Doug said it was because my mouth was always open, talking.”
Until Ron suffered a broken leg at St. Louis during the 13th game of the 1984 season, he had started 116 straight NFL games, a record for most consecutive starts. Jaws held that record until 1999, when Brett Favre broke it.
He’s also the author of “The Games That Changed the Game,” which highlights seven games in NFL history that changed the strategies and tactics used in NFL football.
Today, Jaworski lives in Southern New Jersey and is civically active. Jaworski is committed to the Jaws Youth Playbook, which focuses on a mission to motivate and improve the overall health and wellness of at-risk youth, primarily in the Greater Philadelphia Region. To date, the Jaworski family is proud to have donated over $3 million to at-risk youth.
Ron owns an exclusive business development company called Business Clubs America as well as owning four Signature Golf courses in South Jersey -- RiverWinds Golf & Tennis Club, Valleybrook Country Club, Running Deer Golf Club, and Blue Heron Pines.
Jaworski also serves as the President of the Maxwell Football Club, Co-Majority Owner of the Philadelphia Soul and sits on the boards of PNC Bank.

Daymond initially made his mark as the entrepreneur and branding expert behind the groundbreaking lifestyle brand, FUBU, which eclipsed more than $6 billion in global retail sales. From the streets of Hollis, Queens, Daymond started a global movement from the basement of his mother’s house by capitalizing on the then fledgling hip-hop culture. Today, the streetwear market that FUBU pioneered is a $20 billion dollar industry.
Since then, Daymond has continued to challenge himself and the business world in which he operates. In 2009, Daymond was tapped by lauded television producer, Mark Burnett, to join the cast of a new business-reality concept, Shark Tank. Resolved to expand his own brand, Daymond has written three books, the most recent of which debuted at #2 on the New York Times best-seller list in January of 2016. The wildly successful release, The Power of Broke (Crown Publishing) takes an in-depth look at how successful entrepreneurs who started from broke were forced to think more creatively and to leverage their resources more efficiently, than their counterparts. While his previous books, Display of Power and The Brand Within were national best-sellers, The Power of Broke stands as the only New York Times best-selling book from any of the Sharks.
Beyond the brands, the television series and the books, Daymond’s commitment to entrepreneurship has been celebrated on a global level. In 2015, he was named a Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship and was part of an exclusive group who joined President Obama at the Global Entrepreneur Summit in Kenya. In March, Daymond accompanied The President on his historic trip to Cuba, which represented the first time a sitting US president visited the island since Calvin Coolidge did in 1928.
One of Daymond’s greatest accomplishments is his continued fight against dyslexia. He has worked with the Yale Center for Dyslexia and he currently sits on the advisory board of Understood.org. Daymond has embraced his affliction allowing it to be a catalyst for his career as a highly sought after motivational public speaker and author.
